Fox Hill fourth graders showcased their creative and scientific skills today as they
presented hand made inventions using at least two simple machines.
As you can see, the results were impressive!!!

A handy laundry grabber so you don't have to bend!
Tired of lugging in that heavy instrument? Many 4th graders would LOVE this instrument caddy!

You may have this for a full size hockey net, but how about one for knee hockey?!

Who says you can't mix electronics with simple machines? Not this scientist!
No need to say "here kitty kitty" anymore! The cat can feed itself!

Students also pretended to be immigrants from several different countries. They had the opportunity to "unpack" many different things that were typically brought from one's homeland to the U.S.A.
At the Lowell Mills, Kids dressed up and acted out a public hearing where it was debated whether or not the community wanted a separate school for Irish Immigrants. Each student had a role.
A close up view of one of the machines. Keep your hair back girls!
If only you could hear how LOUD this was!
Arya points to a map of the mill. The kids were especially interested in the "toilet tower". Ask them about it, but not over dinner!
The entry to the Mills.
Anika dons a cloak typical of many mill girls. Our tour guide, Pam (or Map backwards) was not only entertaining, she is also a direct descendant of Frances Wyman!
Playing with our new class pets: Lulu, Mia, and Dorito!
Playing "Close to 1,000"
